Who these terms are with

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Gustav Buchholtz, an individual based in Sweden who operates the Resonate podcast app and website. In these terms, “Resonate,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the service operated by Gustav Buchholtz.

You can contact us about these terms or the service at support@resonate-podcasts.com.

Accepting these terms

Creating an account requires an unchecked confirmation that you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Resonate records the accepted versions and time. By using Resonate or purchasing Premium, you continue to agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If the law where you live requires permission from a parent or guardian, you must have that permission.

What Resonate provides

Resonate is a podcast player. It can help you discover, stream, download, organize, and search podcasts, and can provide transcripts, chapters, contextual reference cards, and optional AI-generated enrichment. Some features require an account, an internet connection, or Premium.

Podcast feeds, episodes, audio, artwork, show notes, and linked material come from publishers and other third parties. They remain the responsibility of their respective owners and may be changed, restricted, or removed without our control. Resonate does not claim ownership of that material or guarantee that it will always be available.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use Resonate for lawful, non-commercial listening in accordance with these terms. Downloads are for personal use and remain subject to the publisher’s rights and any terms attached to the podcast or private feed.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account, keeping your sign-in method secure, and providing accurate information. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

You may add a private podcast feed only if you are authorized to access it. Private feed URLs can contain credentials, so you must not share them or use Resonate to give others access they are not entitled to receive.

Premium subscriptions

Resonate can be used without Premium. Premium is an optional, automatically renewing subscription offered through monthly and annual plans. Before you purchase, the paywall and Google Play confirmation show the plan, included benefits, billing period, full price and currency, any applicable tax or introductory offer, and when the subscription renews. The offer displayed when you confirm the purchase is the offer that applies.

The current Premium benefit includes the ability to request AI enrichment for up to 600 minutes of eligible podcast audio during each allowance period. Allowance periods are anchored to the date Premium first becomes active, unused minutes do not roll over, and changing between monthly and annual plans does not reset the allowance early. A request that cannot start or finishes without a usable result does not consume the reserved minutes.

Google Play processes the purchase and charges the payment method associated with your Google account. A subscription-management provider gives Resonate the entitlement status needed to unlock Premium. Resonate does not receive your payment-card details.

Your subscription renews automatically for the selected billing period until you cancel it. You can cancel through Resonate’s subscription-management link or in Google Play. Cancellation prevents a future renewal; you will normally keep Premium until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your Resonate account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

Consumers in the European Economic Area normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, subject to statutory exceptions. Google Play may ask you to consent to immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge the effect that has on your withdrawal right. You can start a withdrawal or refund request through Google Play, and you may contact support@resonate-podcasts.com if Premium is faulty, unavailable, or not as described. These terms do not limit any mandatory repair, price-reduction, cancellation, refund, withdrawal, conformity, or other consumer right that applies where you live.

Any free trial, introductory price, or other promotion applies only when it is expressly shown before purchase. Its duration, eligibility, conversion price, and renewal terms will be displayed as part of the offer.

We may change a subscription price for valid reasons such as changes to Premium benefits, operating costs, taxes, exchange rates, law, or store requirements. A price change is never retroactive. We or Google Play will provide advance notice and request approval where required, and you may cancel before the new price applies to a renewal.

AI-generated and informational content

Transcripts, chapters, summaries, search results, and reference cards may be generated or assisted by automated systems. They can be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or attributed to the wrong moment or source. They are provided to help you navigate and understand a podcast, not as a definitive record.

Do not rely on Resonate’s generated content as medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional advice. Check important information against the original episode and authoritative sources.

Acceptable use

You must not use Resonate to break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute private-feed credentials, harm or harass others, introduce malicious code, interfere with the service, evade access or usage limits, probe security without permission, or obtain access to accounts or content you are not authorized to use.

You must not scrape or copy the service at scale, resell access, or reverse engineer Resonate except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits. You remain responsible for material you send to support or otherwise provide through your use of the service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Resonate reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Network access, publisher feeds, media hosts, app stores, and other providers can affect what works. Cached and downloaded material may remain available offline, while search, authentication, purchases, first-time feed access, and server-generated enrichment require a connection.

We may maintain, secure, improve, add, remove, or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid benefit, we will provide reasonable notice when practicable and will not apply the reduction to a period already paid for unless the change is required by law, security, a store, or a dependency outside our reasonable control.

Suspension, cancellation, and account deletion

You may stop using Resonate at any time and may delete your account in the app or on the website. Account deletion is permanent and removes the account-linked data described in the Privacy Policy, but it does not cancel a store subscription or remotely erase podcast files already downloaded to your device.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or respond to a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

Ownership

Resonate’s software, interface, design, branding, and original material are owned by Gustav Buchholtz or licensed to him and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer those rights to you.

Podcast and other third-party material belongs to its respective owners. References or links do not imply endorsement by Resonate, and your use of third-party material or services may be governed by separate terms.

Publisher and rightsholder reports

A publisher or other rightsholder can report a podcast feed, episode, artwork, transcript, reference, or other material that it believes Resonate is not authorized to use. Email support@resonate-podcasts.com with the material you are reporting, where it appears, the basis for your rights, your contact details, and the action you request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and investigate the report.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. If we fail to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of that failure.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, third-party podcast material or services, unauthorized account use you failed to report, or uses of Resonate that breach these terms. We are not responsible for business losses arising from personal, non-commercial use of the service.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer in another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws that apply to you, and this choice of law does not take those protections away.

Please contact support@resonate-podcasts.com first so we can try to resolve a concern. If we cannot resolve an eligible Swedish consumer dispute, you may ask Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN) to review it; information and filing instructions are available at arn.se. You may also bring a claim in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law, including the courts where you live when that right is mandatory.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service, providers, law, or business model changes. The current version and effective date will appear here. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes when required. Changes that materially affect an active paid subscription will apply no earlier than the next renewal unless an earlier change is required by law, security, or a store.

We will ask for renewed affirmative acceptance when a change materially affects your rights or obligations and applicable law or the nature of the change requires it. In other cases, continuing to use Resonate after notified terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service, delete your account, and cancel Premium before its next renewal.
